Pitchfork, the most trusted voice in music, and October, a leading beer culture website, present the third annual OctFest, a one-of-a-kind beer, music and food festival taking place on October 19th at Knockdown Center in New York City.

Rules & Regulations

  • All attendees to Octfest must be 21+

  • Children 2 and under permitted with legal guardian. No ticket necessary.

  • Artists subject to change. No outside food or beverage allowed. No video recorders and no cameras with detachable lenses will be allowed in the festival grounds. If you are at all unsure about the equipment you're planning to bring, leave it at home!

 

BEER SAMPLING

  • Each single-day ticket-holder will receive 6 3-oz samples from the festival breweries of their choice. Once depleted, ticket-holders will be able to purchase additional samples for $2 per 3-oz pour. Sampling hours are from 3pm-8pm.

RE-ENTRY POLICY

  • Please keep in mind that there will be absolutely no re-entry into the festival

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • By entering the festival you will be agreeing to allow your image to possibly be photographed or filmed for the use of the producers. You are not allowed to bring in video cameras or professional-quality cameras (NO cameras with detachable lenses).

TICKET RE-ASSIGNMENT & OTHER TICKET ISSUES

  • If changes occur to your plans and you can no longer attend, no name changes are needed - you can simply give the digital print-at-home ticket to your friend. PLEASE NOTE: tickets will only scan once at entry, prohibiting multiple copies of the same ticket from being used

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • The following items will not be allowed: Tents, flags, lounge chairs, musical instruments, knives or other weapons, video cameras, audio recording devices, professional cameras (NO cameras with detachable lenses), selfie sticks, pets, food, beverages, drugs or drug paraphernalia.

PERMITTED ITEMS

  • Digital cameras (non-professional), disposable cameras, film cameras(non-professional), fanny packs, sealed bottled water, backpacks/ satchels (medium-sized), hats, sun block, lighters, sunglasses, and cigarettes are permitted.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

  • A valid government-issued photo ID is required to purchase alcoholic beverages on the festival grounds. Attendees will need to show their ID to festival security personnel in order to receive a wristband that will allow them to purchase alcohol. Sales of alcohol will end promptly at 10:30 pm.

CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Octfest seeks to be a welcoming festival and community. As a festival guest, you have an active role in creating an enjoyable and accepting environment for your fellow attendees, including speaking out when you see unacceptable behavior.

  • Octfest has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to: race, color, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, religion, and disability status.

Offensive behavior includes, but is not limited to:

• Acts of physical assault or battery

• Verbal abuse

• Racial or ethnic slurs

• Groping, sexual assault, or unwanted sexual remarks

• Stalking

• Threatening language

Any individuals or groups found in violation of this policy may be removed from the festival.

SHUTTLE

  • When running, the shuttle runs to/from the Jefferson L train every 15 minutes, on Wykoff St, OUTSIDE The Cobra Club between Jefferson and Troutman.

  • If the L train is not running, the shuttle runs to/from the Flushing Ave. JMZ train every 20 minutes, OUTSIDE the Sumner Hotel.

Walk

  • Knockdown Center is a quick 15 minute walk from the Jefferson L Train: Follow Flushing Ave. See walking map to 52-19 Flushing Ave, Maspeth, NY 11378.

  • Knockdown Center is only 10-15 minutes from Williamsburg by Bike or Car. Bike parking is provided on-site. 52-19 Flushing Ave, Maspeth, NY 11378. Valet parking is available during certain events – check back here for valet service updates when available.
